Madinah, officially Al-Madinah al-Munawwarah (“The Radiant City”), is the second holiest city in Islam and the place where the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) established the first Muslim community. Known for its profound peace and spiritual tranquility, it is a city that welcomes every pilgrim with a unique warmth, reflecting the legendary hospitality of its original inhabitants, the Ansar.

Masjid an-Nabawi (The Prophet’s Mosque) is the heart of Madinah and contains the Rawdah ash-Sharifah, described by the Prophet (PBUH) as a garden from the gardens of Paradise. It is also the final resting place of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his companions, Abu Bakr (RA) and Umar (RA). Offering prayer here carries a reward 1,000 times greater than in any other mosque except the Masjid al-Haram.
To enter the Rawdah ash-Sharifah, all pilgrims must book a specific time slot through the official Nusuk App. We recommend booking your slot as soon as you receive your visa, as these appointments fill up quickly. Our team in Birmingham provides a step-by-step guide to help you navigate the app successfully.
A standard Madinah Ziyarah tour includes:
Masjid Quba: The first mosque in Islam; praying two rak'ahs here is equivalent to the reward of an Umrah.
Mount Uhud: The site of the historic battle and the Martyrs' Cemetery.
Masjid al-Qiblatain: Where the Qibla was changed from Jerusalem to Makkah.
The Seven Mosques: Sites related to the Battle of the Trench.
Jannat al-Baqi: The primary cemetery where many Sahaba are buried.
We prioritize convenience for our pilgrims. Our 5-star hotels (like the Pullman Zamzam or Anwar Al Madinah Movenpick) are located in the "Front Row," literally steps away from the mosque courtyards. Our 3 and 4-star options are typically within a 5–10 minute walking distance (300m–600m), ensuring you never miss a congregational prayer.
While Ihram is not required for Madinah, modesty is essential. Men should wear professional, modest clothing (like a Thobe or loose trousers), and women should wear an Abaya and Hijab. It is important to maintain a quiet, respectful demeanor to preserve the city’s atmosphere of Sakina (tranquility).
Madinah is world-famous for its dates, especially the Ajwa variety. You can visit the Madinah Date Market (Souq Al-Tumour) for the best selection and prices. Many of our packages include a visit to a local date orchard, where you can learn about the harvest and buy fresh dates directly from the source.
